Hearty and Healthy Turkey Chili

Ingredients

1 1/2 to 2 pounds ground turkey
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup chopped yellow bell pepper
1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes, undrained
1 16-ounce can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup chicken stock
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Tabasco®
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon oregano

Directions

  1. In a large pot, sauté onion, garlic and yellow bell pepper in olive oil over medium heat until the onion is translucent. Add turkey and brown with the veggies. Stir in all remaining ingredients, then reduce the heat to simmer for 1 hour.
